Our Role
The Philippine Tourism office in Toronto has the entire country of Canada under its jurisdiction. The main function is to encourage and increase Canadian travel to the Philippines through participation in tourism and consumer shows and ensuring all major wholesalers and operators include Philippine tour programs in their tour brochures. Requests for general tourism information and brochures, videos, presentations to associations and travel agencies, as well as arranging for media, press and tour operator trips to the country are most welcome, entertained and facilitated by the office.
Mission
The Department of Tourism (DOT) shall be the primary government agency charged with the responsibility to encourage, promote, and develop tourism as a major socio-economic activity to generate foreign currency and employment and to spread the benefits of tourism to both the private and public sector in the Philippines. The Philippine Tourism Office in Canada is dedicated to serving the needs of Canadians and former Filipino citizens who wish to travel to the Philippines.
